Tipperary camogie final abandoned due to fears over serious injury to a player

A Tipperary camogie county final had to be abandoned in the middle of the contest after a participating player suffered a nasty injury in the second half.

The County Tipperary Junior C Camogie Final between Ballybacon Grange and Slieve Felim Raparees was abandoned late in the first half, as a Ballybacon Grange player suffered what was thought to be a possibly serious injury.

The match was being played in The County Camogie Grounds in The Ragg last Saturday when the incident occurred.

Thankfully, after being taken from the pitch to hospital, the player in question is recovering from her injuries and is now on the mend.

Tipperary camogie has said they will re-fix the abandoned final as soon as possible.
