Aisling McCarthy and Aishling Moloney pictured after winning with Tipperary. Both are playing AFLW and doing well in Australia
When one Cahir star shines, so does the other over the years and so it was once more as Ashling McCarthy found top form to guide the West Coast Eagles to victory in the AFLW yesterday.
Aishling Moloney scored a hat-trick the day before for her team Down Under and the other 'Ash' shone when her team took to the field.
Both Cahir natives have previously starred for the Tipperary Ladies football team back home and both have kicked ball together for club and county winning All-Irelands together in the process.
Aisling McCarthy scored two goals as the Perth side beat Port Adelaide, coming out on top after a close encounter where the result was in doubt until the end. The Eagles edged a 39-33 victory at the end of an exciting game.
It was the first win of the new season for the team and the former Tipperary footballer McCarthy starred in the game with 15 disposals, one behind and 4 marks in the victory.
