Clonmel Racecourse has announced details of this year’s Clonmel Oil Steeplechase, which will take place at Powerstown Park on Thursday November 9.

This will be the 21st year of sponsorship by Clonmel Oil and the race has an illustrious roll of honour that includes household names like Dorans Pride, Beef Or Salmon, Sizing Europe and Douvan.

Last year’s race was won by the Willie Mullins-trained Blue Lord, which followed up his Clonmel Oil Chase success with a Grade 1 win at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Eugene Cooney, Marketing Manager at Clonmel Racecourse says he is extremely grateful to Clonmel Oil for their continued support and he looks forward to welcoming a big crowd to Powerstown Park on November 9 for the feature race of the year at the venue.
