Snooker sensation Shaun Murphy promises a brilliant night in Nenagh later this month!

Get along to Nenagh later this month for a great evening of entertainment

Shaun Murphy the “magician” as he is known, will draw the crowds in Nenagh at the New Institute Club on Wednesday, 22nd November.

Born in England, the 2005 world champion and three-time finalist,  resides in Ireland and has plenty of Irish relations. 

A great night is expected in Nenagh with a top class exhibition in store. Shaun is set to play a frame of snooker against ten local players. Local hero Brendan O’Donoghue, who is a current Irish senior champion, will take part on the night.

So too will the popular pair of brothers, Mark and Noel Gleeson, and the craic will be mighty with RTE’s Aonghus McAnally too on the night. A post event reception will take place at Andy Flynn’s Gastropub afterwards.

Aengus McAnally is a prominent member of the governing board of Irish snooker and billiards and he covered the Irish Open in Goffs for many years. 

There have been a lot of calls in recent years to develope a top-class competition in Ireland and Shaun Murphy has lent his voice to those calls. 

The world number 7 recently stated that Ireland should develop a proper ranking tournament here such is the popularity of the sport.

The Irish Masters, a spring time favourite of so many for decades, always drew the crowds to Goffs in Kildare.
