Son of Tipperary hurling legend set to make intercounty debut for rival county

Cillian Bonnar, son of former Tipperary boss and two-time All-Ireland senior winner Colm, will make his intercounty debut at number 15 for the Waterford senior hurlers tonight in the Munster League.

Recently a competitor in Ireland's Fittest Family with his father Colm, and two sisters, Cillian has impressed with his club Dunhill in recent years and now, he has been given a chance to impress for Davy Fitzgerald's charges in this evening's opener.

Waterford and Kerry are in Tipperary's group for this year's Munster Hurling League with the game throwing in at 7.30 pm tonight in Austin Stack Park, Tralee.

Waterford team: Shaun O'Brien (De La Salle); Willie Hassey (Clonea), Mark Fitzgerald (Passage), Brian Looby (Abbeyside); Callum O'Neill (Passage), Kieran Bennett (Ballysaggart), Jack Fagan (De La Salle); Tom Barron (Fourmilewater), Seamus Fitzgerald (Kilrossanty); Jack Prendergast (Lismore), Patrick Curran (Dungarvan), Paudie Fitzgerald (Kilrossanty); Seanie Callaghan (Abbeyside), Sean Walsh (Fourmilewater), Cillian Bonnar (Dunhill).
