The participation of three Tipperary players has been confirmed for the Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup, the premier Gaelic football championship among Higher Education institutions in Ireland.
The competition began last night, Tuesday and eight round one fixtures are down for decision this week.

University College Cork: Rian Quigley (Moyle Rovers), Sean O’Connor (Clonmel Commercials).
TU Dublin: Joseph Lawrence (Rockwell Rovers).
Holders UCC begin their title defence against Ulster University at Abbotstown in Dublin this evening, Wednesday, while TU Dublin played University of Galway last night.
