ROCKWELL ROVERS
The Senior Club’s annual general meeting took place in the New Inn Community Centre last Sunday January 21. This was a well-attended meeting and chairman John Hally welcomed everyone.
The following officers were either returned or elected on the day. Life Presidents: Andy O’Dwyer, Philly Heaney, Andy Moloney and Walter O’Donnell. President: Jimmy Looby, Chairman John: Halley, Vice Chair: Tommy Buckley, Secretary: Elaine Cummins (new), Asst Secretary: Fran Stafford (new), Treasurer: Mary Newman, Asst Treasurer: Pete Farrell, PRO: TBC. Health & Wellbeing: Martina Durkan, Registrar: Cathy Fitzgerald, School Liaison Officer: Kieran Durkan, Children’s Officer: Anita O’Dwyer. Development Chairperson: Adrian O’Dwyer, Irish Culture & Language: Lorraine Farrell, Coaching Officer: Barry Shortall, West Board Delegates: John Hally, Kieran Durkan and Jerry Ryan, County Football Delegate: Kevin Barron, County Hurling Delegate: TBC.

Thanks to outgoing secretary Geraldine Cleary for all her work and endeavours. Also, thanks to incoming secretary Elaine Cummins for her dedicated service of six years to the Juvenile Club. We wish Elaine and Fran Stafford the very best in their new roles as secretary of the Senior and Juvenile clubs respectively.
The club would also like to thank the outgoing senior management team of Stephen Quirke, Tommy Flynn, Dermot O'Brien, Jerry Ryan and Padraig O'Connor (S&C). We appreciate the commitment and hard work they have all put in over the years.
The adjourned meeting will take place on Thursday February 1.
From the Lotto point of view the club would like to thank Michael Purcell, The Shop, both publicans, MF Barron and Ollie's Bar, sponsors of lotto tickets, Cahir House Hotel and all the sellers who sell lotto tickets week in week out.
Also many thanks to Eoin Shine, electrician and Paul Lonergan, field maintenance for their hard work.
