At a meeting of Munster GAA held last week, a proposal from Munster Council delegate Joe Kennedy on behalf of Tipperary GAA to have the Munster Minor Hurling Cup named the John Doyle Cup was passed.
A new cup will now be presented to Munster GAA by the Doyle family in honour of their late father, ahead of the commencement of this year's competition.
