As it stands - What have the Tipperary hurlers to do to make the league semi finals?

The league table as it stands.

League places are up for grabs this weekend, and within a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon Tipperary will learn their fate for this years Allianz League campaign. Liam Cahills side need Limerick to do them a favour if they are to progress, and also they must win their game against Antrim.

Tipperary take on Antrim on March 16th at Corrigan Park in Belfast the game gets underway at 3pm and is live on BBC iPlayer and GAAGO. Chris Mooney from Dublin will referee the game. As it stands Antrim, Dublin and Westmeath are out of the running for the league crown already.

Earlier on Saturday contenders Galway play Limerick (1.15pm in Pearse Stadium, Salthill) and Tipperary supporters will be hoping for a Limerick win here as it would - should Tipp beat Antrim later that afternoon - mean that Tipperary will progress to the last four.
If Galway win against Limerick then Tipp, Limerick and Galway will be on level points and both Galway and Limerick (currently) have a superior scoring difference to Tipperary meaning (should they have at the end of the afternoon) they would both progress.
If Limerick and Tipp win their respective games, Limerick will be on 10 points and Tipp will be on 8 points meaning both progress to the league semi finals to take on the top two in the other group.
Currently that is Clare and Kilkenny. Clare are on 7 points with Kilkenny and Wexford on 5 points each while Cork are on four. Waterford play Kilkenny while Cork play Wexford this Saturday so the pattern will be clear as the action there unfolds.
The rules format for the decision making process are posted below, and the current league tables for Tipperary's group are below that.
