TJ Donnelly provides solid fuel and deliveries can be arranged – he will also offer bedding plants for flower beds, strawberry plants and cabbage plants shortly.The market operates every Saturday morning between 9am and 12.30pm at the Greyhound Stadium Thurles with plenty of free car parking space.
We hope to meet with Thurles Municipal District Council shortly as work on the Thurles Market Quarter is due to start very soon.
The project may be completed in phases due to inflation in construction costs.
The first part is the restoration of the Agricultural Building located close to Thurles town park. The Council’s intention for this building is to provide office space for the St Patrick’s MIC Students Union, a Café and toilets – we await confirmation of the Council’s plans.
We have asked for storage space in the building.
The second part of the project is to erect a canopy of the adjacent car park space that would allow the space to be used for markets and events.
