Tipp referee who died tragically to be honoured by home club with 'Memorial Tournament'

Toomevara GAA Club will honour the memory of one of its most popular members by organising a memorial tournament over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

Organised in memory of well-known former referee Kieran Delaney who lost his life suddenly back in December 2021 after being struck by a car near his home in Grenanstown outside Toomevara village, and the GAA club and the local community have come together to honour Delaney.

Including Toomevara, four clubs will participate in the tournament with Templederry Kenyons, Upperchurch Drombane, and Monaleen of Limerick agreeing to help out and send teams for what is expected to be a great day of action.

The Kieran ‘Feisty’ Delaney Memorial Tournament will take place on Saturday, June 1st in Toomevara at 3 pm.
