Fifth year student Cathal O’Reilly
There was huge excitement in Coláiste Mhuire Co-Ed last week as one of our own, fifth year student Cathal O’Reilly climbed the steps in the TUS Gaelic Grounds Limerick to lift the John Doyle Cup.
In a game where Tipperary and Clare were equally matched until the latter stages, Cathal played a pivotal role at full-back where he delivered a masterful display of defensive play with aplomb.
The whole school community of CMCO are so proud of Cathal who is a most popular student among his peers, is unassuming and modest and produces flawless displays for both school and his club Holycross/Ballycahill.
We wish Cathal, his parents Ollie and Bridget and all the O’Reilly family the very best as he progresses to the All-Ireland semi-final.
