Templemore and the surrounding area experienced great success at the Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan in Thurles last week.

Killea, Clonmore and Loughmore all had representation across a wide variety of acts.

The Burke siblings Katie, Sean and Aoibhe all brought home medals in the Sean Nós dancing for Cill Shleibhe, while branch member Abby Manton also qualified for the All-Ireland in Wexford with the Moyne marching band.

Muireann Meade was 1st in the U-18 Tin Whistle, Slow Airs, for Loughmore CCE with Jennifer Sargeant on the fiddle and Joseph Boyle on the whistle and flute also qualifying for Wexford.

Clonmore had 14 teams in action across various competitions with ladies teams and mixed teams in almost every age category.

They took Gold in both the four-hand mixed céilí, aged 12-15, and the eight-hand mixed céilí, age 15-18, while they came second in the O-35 mixed set.
