McManus Memorial darts tournament

Dylan Slevin is in action this afternoon.

The PDC ProTour season continues at Wigan today as Tipperary native Dylan Slevin gets ready to perform in the championships at Robin Park Tennis Centre.

The race is on to qualify for the Ladbrokes Players Championships Finals and a shot at the world championships.

They will compete from all over for the £125,000 prize money in this prestigious event.

The top pot of £15,000 for the winner will be played for by the number 1, Luke Humphries, as well as tournament top seed Dave Chisnell who will compete at the venue alongside the Borrisokane man.

Slevin will hope to fare better than yesterday in the 23rd players championship event as former world champion Rob Cross accounted for the Tipp competitor in the first round.

Down 5-4, the experience of Cross told in the end as he struck cleanly to claim a 6-4 victory.

Today's action in Wigan gets underway from 1pm.
