Each year the Tipperary Supporters Club award a hurler of the year award and this years winner is Ronan Maher of Thurles Sarsfields who was chosen by the members of the Tipperary Supporters Club.
Ronan is set to be presented with the annual trophy and the perpetual Tony Reddin Cup. provided by the Reddin family, at a later date.
The annual trophy is sponsored by John Quirke Jewellers Cahir who sponsor it yearly. While it was a far from vintage year for Tipperary, defensively Ronan stood up for Tipperary across the league and championship.
The Garda, who operates at half back for Tipperary, will look to knuckle down to training once more this winter ahead of the league campaign which gets underway in the new year.
