Tipperary Ladies Track & Field Team received the Canon Hayes Sports Award for athletics at a function in Tipperary Town on Friday last.
The Awards are in their twenty fifth year. The award was in recognition for their outstanding achievement in winning The National Track & Field League Final Premier Division.
This was one of the youngest teams ever assembled with the average age of the team just ninteen. The Awards we presented by John Kiely, Limerick Team manager.
