Clerihan National School near Clonmel had the incredible privilege of welcoming Olympian and World Rugby Sevens star Amee-Leigh Costigan (née Murphy Crowe) as part of the Dare to Believe programme.
Amee, who represented Ireland in Rugby Sevens at the Paris Olympics last summer, delivered an inspiring talk to the pupils, sharing her journey from a young athlete to competing on the world stage.

From her early days in athletics and basketball to finding her passion in rugby, Amee’s story was one of determination, resilience and hard work.
She spoke about the challenges she faced along the way and the dedication required to achieve her dreams.

Her powerful message — “Dream hard, work harder” —resonated deeply with the young students, as she encouraged them to believe in their own potential.
Amee’s visit was particularly exciting, as she has recently been named in the 40-player Irish Women’s squad for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations.
Her success continues to be a source of pride and inspiration.
The school community extends its thanks to Amee for taking the time to visit and inspire the next generation.
They will be cheering her on as she continues to represent Ireland on the international stage.
