Thurles CBS became the third Tipperary school in as many years to lift the Harty Cup earlier this year, and they have been drawn alongside Limerick opposition in John The Baptist's Hospital, Doon CBS, as well as Waterford's Blackwater Lismore as they prepare to defend their crown.

Elsewhere, Nenagh CBS have been drawn in a very tough-looking group with annual challengers in Ardscoil Rís and St Flannan's College, while there will be a Tipperary derby in the group as Cashel Community School also features here.

Clonmel High School are back in the top tier after winning last year's Munster B Schools title, and they will be well tested given the opposition drawn in their group; Midleton CBS, St Colman's Fermoy, and De La Salle Waterford are all strong teams.

Finally, Our Lady's Templemore features in the final group against two Cork schools in Gaelcholaiste Mhuire AG, CBC Cork, and recent champions St Joseph's of Tulla. See the draw in full below.
