National Broadband Ireland says that 10,738 homes and businesses in County Tipperary are now connected to high-speed internet through the Fibre-to-the-Home network it built for the State.

Right now, 30,222 homes and businesses in Tipperary can pre-order or order high-speed broadband. NBI says that most rural communities, even those near Templemore and Thurles, are now connected.
National Broadband Ireland invites Tipperary residents to explore nbi.ie, enter their Eircode to check availability, and discover how easy it is to get connected.
The company also recommends switching to a fibre provider, which would allow residents to keep their current phone number. While NBI builds the network, it leaves sales to other providers. The old copper lines are scheduled for retirement by 2030.
County Tipperary will get €118 million in government funding through the National Broadband Plan.
