The seizure was made at Rosslare Europort
TWO men are being questioned by gardai following a major drugs seizure during a joint operation involving gardai and customs officers.
Cocaine with an estimated street value of €11.4m was seized during an operation at Rosslare Europort Harbour in County Wexford on Thursday.
"At approximately 1.30pm, Revenue Customs Officers conducted a search of a horsebox which had disembarked a ferry. During the course of this search an estimated 163kg of suspected cocaine was discovered," said a garda spokesperson.
Gardaí from Wexford attended the scene a short time later and arrested two men, aged in their 20s and 30s.
Both men are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at a garda station in the Wexford district.

Gardai say the drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
