Two children have been taken to Waterford University Hospital following a collision between an e-scooter and a jeep.
Gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred on the Old Tramore Road at Greenfields earlier this afternoon (Thursday November 16) at approximately 3pm.
One of the children receiving treatment in hospital is being treated for injuries described as "serious".
The road is currently closed and an examination of the scene by Forensic Collision Investigators is taking place this evening.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the Greenfields area between 2.30pm and 3.15pm to make this footage available to Gardaí.
