ALERT: Faulty kitchen product sold by TK Maxx and Homesense could melt and damage property

Two popular retailers are recalling a faulty home product sold in Ireland due to a risk of electric shock and fire.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), TK Maxx and Homesense has issued a recall for the Brookstone Beverage Warmer because of the product's inadequate insulation, which could cause metal components to become live.

The product's poor construction - which could result in the base of the product melting - reportedly presents a risk of fire and damage to property.

Almost 1,000 affected products (model number is DX-8012) were sold in stores in Ireland between November and December 2023.

The product code shown on the price sticker and your receipt will be either 439913, 439930, 439943 or 439949.

Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.

If customers have any further queries in relation to this recall, please email TK Maxx at customerservice@tjxeurope.com or call on 01 2476126.
