Mum of late Saoírse Ruane reminds people to capture memories

The mum of the late Saoírse Ruane has shared a reminder for people to "live in the moment".

Alongside a video showing a few memories with her daughter, Roseanna Ruane said: "Thank god for phones... Some man say 'put the phone away, be in the moment'. I'm so glad I captured everything I did and I was always still in the moment. Take the photos."

Saoírse, aged 12, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her heartbroken parents, Ollie and Roseanna, on Tuesday, March 5.

The little girl captured the hearts of the nation after her inspiring appearance on the Toy Show Appeal.
