Gardai say the incident happened in Maynooth at around 6.50pm on Bank Holiday Monday
Gardaí have arrested and charged a man following what has been described as 'serious assault' at an educational establishment in County Kildare earlier this week.
In an update, they say the incident happened in Maynooth at around 6.50pm on Bank Holiday Monday.
"A man, aged in his 50s, is receiving medical treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown," said a garda spokesperson who added that two other males were also injured during the incident.
An investigation was launched following the incident and a man, aged in his 20s, who was arrested has since been charged.

According to gardai, he is due to appear before Naas District Court later this Wednesday.
No further details regarding the incident have been disclosed publicly.
