Cummins shows kids maths can be fun

Former Tipp hurling goalkeeper and All-Ireland long puck champ Brendan Cummins paid a visit to Comeragh College in Carrick-on-Suir to show students how maths can be applied to everyday situations.

The long puck record holder's visit was the high point of the recent Maths Week at the community school.

He did hurling activities with the students to show the practical application of maths concepts, including the theories of distance, speed, time and velocity, in an enjoyable way. Comeragh College's staff and pupils said they wished to thank Brendan Cummins for his time, expertise and help.
