Man charged in connection with stealing cash from Clonmel parking meters

An Eastern European man is due to appear before Clonmel District Court today (Tuesday) charged in connection with breaking into parking meters in Clonmel last Saturday. 

The man, aged in his early 30s, was arrested on Saturday evening in relation to the theft of money from parking meters in the College Avenue area of Clonmel. 

He was charged and brought before a special sitting of Cashel District Court on Sunday where he was remanded in custody to appear before today's sitting of Clonmel Court.
