Nenagh Tree Festival encourages local schoolchildren to be creative

Nenagh Tree Festival encourages local schoolchildren to be creative

One of the new features in this year's Nenagh Christmas Tree Festival was a package hand-delivered to 22 schools inviting each principal to have children submit entries for a Christmas Tree Colouring Competition.

If your school is interested in joining the contest but you didn’t receive your package, please contact us at nenaghchristmastree@btinternet.com or 086-8206514.

Schools are invited to have an internal "shortlisting", with no more than one winner in each group and these will be submitted to St Mary’s Rectory, Church Road, Nenagh, by Friday, December 8.

These final entries will be displayed during the Christmas Tree Festival, and children are encouraged to come, with their parents, to see the pictures from the schools in the area.

Certificates will be awarded to everyone whose work is displayed, with special prizes for winners in each category overall.

This year's festival runs in St Mary's Church of Ireland, Church Road, from December 13 to 17.
