FOLLOWING an angry exchange between Councillors Tommy Moylan and Séamus Morris at Monday night’s meeting of Nenagh Town Council Cllr Morris apologised and withdrew a remark that the Sinn Féin councillor had directed at his Fine Gael colleague.
Following a notice of motion from Sinn Féin Councillor Séamus Morris which stated “that this town council supports SIPTU and other organisations stance against the Household Charge” Cllr Moylan (Fine Gael) argued the merits of the Household Charge.
Reacting Cllr Morris said it was “all right for some people living in a big house out in the country”.
Cllr Moylan took exception to the comment,
