Shannon fire safety company to create 50 jobs

This week’s announcement by Ei Electronics of plans to increase its workforce to 500 by the end of 2013 is a significant boost to the indigenous manufacturing sector in Shannon town and surrounding region.

The company, which is a leading fire safety products developer and manufacturer, intends to create 20 new jobs during the final four months of the year. 15 of the jobs will be created at the company’s Shannon Free Zone facility with a further five overseas.

The public is being asked to show their appreciation for Ei Electronics’ contribution to the local economy by attending an open day at the company’s facility this Sunday, September 1, as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. The event runs from 11am to 6pm.
