Deputy Michael Lowry rolled out the heavy hitters for the launch of his general election campaign on Friday evening at The Anner Hotel, with retired Tipperary hurler Eoin Kelly endorsing the Independent candidate having launched the event.
A huge attendance which included the likes of former Tipp greats Kelly, Joe Hayes, Donie Nealon and Lar Corbett, Aga Khan Cup winner Greg Broderick, Mr Peter Murchan of South Tipperary General Hospital, Councillors Eddie O'Meara, Willie Kennedy, Micheal O'Meara and Micheal Lowry, members of the extended Lowry family, was treated to a very informative evening with keynote speakers focusing on various aspects which will be election issues come polling day.
“Don't mind what they are saying about Lowry being safe - this election will only be won on polling day and it is about ensuring that each vote is secured in the ballot box on that day. It's going to be a battle but we are ready for it,” Lowry told his supporters at the event.
