Tipperary Musical Society began their new season on Thursday 8th September in Kiely's Bar on Main St. The night was about reflecting on the successes of the past year and looking forward to an exciting calendar of events for 2016/17, including the annual fundraising concert on Sunday October 23rd in Ballykisteen, and their 2017 production of Dolly Parton's new musical '9 to 5' which will take place from 20-25th February in the Excel Theatre. As chairperson of the society, Lena Hally welcomed former and current members, aswell as those who were joining for the first time. Director John Murray, Choreographer Miriam Ball and Chorus Mistress/Musical Director Helen Colbert each took their chance to speak to the members and share their hopes and plans for the year ahead. Tipperary Musical Society will be rehearsing each Tuesday and Thursday in Ballykisteen Hotel at 8pm, and new members are always most welcome. Life's not just about "working 9 to 5" so perhaps this could be a great opportunity to discover a new hobby and meet a great group of people! Email firstname.lastname@example.org or find Tipperary Musical Society on Facebook if you have any questions about rehearsals or upcoming events.
