Four men are being detained in Clonmel and Tipperary Garda Stations following the recovery of the €1 million rated greyhound Clares Rocket which was stolen in Golden in the early hours of Sunday night/ Monday morning.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the theft of €1 million rated wonder greyhound Clares Rocket which was recovered last night and is described as being 'safe and well.'

Stolen from the kennels of trainer Graham Holland in Golden, Co. Tipperary, the alarm was raised when the trainer returned home and found the dog missing from his kennels. The greyhound was stolen sometime between 6 o'clock on Sunday evening and 10 o'clock Monday morning from the yard of Irish Derby winning trainer at Athassel Abbey near Golden. 

The greyhound, who has a stud value of over a million euro, is owned by the Limerick based Full House syndicate and was ranked as second favourite for the English Derby. An intensive Garda operation resulted in the greyhound being recovered and four arrested - they are being detained in Tipperary and Clonmel Garda Stations and questioned under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
