Emergency services attended a man who collapsed on the street in Thurles.

Man collapsed on the street and is being treated at the scene.

Emergency services attended Matthew Avenue in Thurles this morning to come to the assistance of a male who collapsed on the street and seemed to go into cardiac arrest.

Passers-by came to  the aid of the male during the busy school-time rush before paramedics from the emergency services arrived on the scene and came to the assistance of the man who was walking at the time. Two ambulances and an emergency services car were at the scene, close to  the former Park Avenue House Hotel,  for some time afterwards but traffic disruption was kept to the minimum. CPR was carried out on the male at the scene.

The Tipperary Star will keep you posted on the outcome.
