The death took place on June 5th of Alan Dunphy Skehana, Two Mile Borris, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was aged 61 years. His remains were reposed at his residence on Thursday June 7th, with many friends travelling near and far to pay their last respects to the man they admired at work with Irish Rail and his colleagues at Ballykisteen Golf Club and the people of Two Mile Borris. His remains were removed from his residence on Friday morning June 8th with Guards of Honour provided by his work and Golf colleagues, with a Garda escort to St. James Church for 11.30am Requiem Mass celebrated by Fr. Joe Tynan Parish Priest Kilteely, assisted by Fr. Tom Fogarty P.P and Fr. George Bourke A.P. Private Cremation took place in the afternoon.
He is deeply mourned by his wife Marion, daughters Lyndsey and Lisa, son Patrick, grandchildren Shauna, Glen and Conor, brothers, sisters, son-in-law Glen, Patrick's partner Kay, nephews, nieces, Alan's partner Julie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives, Irish Rail colleagues, Ballykisteen Golf Club members and his many friends.
