Some great throwing at county trials



Another large crowd gathered in Cahir House Hotel for the second round of County trials, (60 men and 17 women). After some great darts in the round robin games and in the knockout stages, Sandra O’Connor beat Bernie McGrath in the ladies final and Gerry O’Hara defeated Mick Smith in the men’s final.

Round three of trials were again played in Cahir House with another large crowd in attendance. Karen Moloney beat Ann Cronin in the ladies final, and Gerry O’Hara again took the honours in the men’s where he beat John Doocey.

Youth trials took place in Barron’s, New Inn, these young players are showing big improvement and will be a force in tournaments during the year. After some great games Lorcan O’Donovan came out as winner after beating Andrew Hassey in the final.

This Thursday night is your last chance to register your team for the up-coming winter league, a meeting takes place in Barron’s, New Inn at 8pm, team sheets and fees have to be in on or before this meeting.

A tournament takes place this Sunday in Brian Borus Cashel at 3pm sharp. More info from Alan in the Brian Boru.

Next round of the I.D.C championship takes place on November 4 in Nenagh.
