Rushbrooke Junior Open:

Last week the Rushbrooke Junior Open week took place. After an already hugely successful summer in singles and doubles, Evan Whitty Fitzgerald hit the jackpot last weekend in Rushbrooke, Cobh, Co.Cork when he took the Grade One Singles Final in the under 14’s after a huge display against his Dublin opponent in the final. This was the biggest win yet for this talented player and richly deserved. Congratulations Evan and well done.  He has also done very well in the Boy’s Doubles this year wining many Titles with Eoin Hartnett from Bishopstown. This will do him all the good in his effort to climb the rankings and qualify for the All Ireland Finals.

Hillview Social badminton takes place every Tuesday at 9.00pm and Friday at 8.00pm. All standards are very welcome.
