This coming weekend the Mid Tipp Hill Walkers annual autumn challenge takes place in the Burren with walks, climbing and caving for all levels available. Already about 95 places have been booked with just a few more available. Anybody interested, please contact Michael Sutton at 0864009989.
As a result of the autumn challenge, there will be no scheduled walk from Cashel this Sunday.
Last weekend was a busy one. Ray Creaney led a group of twelve on the moderate walk in the Nire Valley, Joan Quinn led the high level walk on Knockanaffrin and Mat Joy conducted a leadership and map-reading exercise, also in the Comeraghs. Meanwhile, John G O’Dwyer led a group of 27 on a walk by the Suir from Thurles to the Cabra Wetlands as part of National Trails Day.
