Charleville International Half Marathon
The charleville international half marathon took place last Sunday morning. Congratulations goes to hosts North Cork AC. We had an array of members taking part from racers to pacers. The route started outside race headquarters at St Josephs Foundation in Charleville turning right heading down the hill for Kilmallock. Through the lovely Blossom Gate arch in Kilmallock turning left down through the main thoroughfare to St Peters and Pauls Church where the runners turned left on to the Glenfield road on through to Thomastown cross where they turned right for the final leg of their run back through the golden vale to cross the finish line on the grounds of St Joseph's foundation on Bakers road. Racing for the club on the day was James Fletcher, Marie O'Shea, Denis Ryan and Mary Pyke. Club duo Tom Blackburn and Willie O'Donoghue were helping out both North Cork AC and the runners on the day by pacing. Tom an expert with newbie Willie did a fantastic job at 145 minute pacers.
