Cashel were promoted to Division 2A of the AIL in their first season with a comprehensive 32-8 win over Sunday’s Well at Spafield. The Tipp side now need just two more points to go up as champions.
Ed Leamy was man of the match in their win over the Cork side with two excellent tries. Watching from the sideline was his brother, Munster and Ireland international Denis who is making a good recovery from injury.
Cashel led 11-8 at half time following a Leamy try and two Pat O’Connor penalties.
However they pulled away in the second half with further tries from Leamy, Brendan O’Connor and Lloyd Foote.
Cashel were missing a number of key players but the replacements did the team proud on a special day for the club.
