On Tuesday of last week Clonmel High School’s Under 15 team travelled to Kinsale RFC to play their opening McCarthy Cup match against Kinsale Community School.
The stronger Cork side dominated proceedings from early on. The High School battled well but lapses in defence proved costly.
Enaitz O’Donovan Garrido scored a good try in the second half for the Clonmel school. There was also an impressive debut performance from Wiktor Kozdron.
The High School host Villiers School in their next match this Thursday. It’s hoped to see an improved performance.

Clonmel High School’s First Year team welcomed St Munchin’s College from Limerick to their 4G rugby pitch on Thursday last.

It was the boys’ first game wearing the red and black jersey of the High School and they put on an impressive performance, winning a very enjoyable match in front of a sizeable home crowd. Well done to the boys and coaches.

On Thursday last Clonmel High School hosted a Munster Rugby Primary Schools Blitz.
Almost 150 Sixth Class boys from Ardfinnan NS, Grange NS, Lisronagh NS, Rathkeevin NS, Ss Peter and Paul’s NS and St Oliver’s NS participated in a fun morning of Tag Rugby under the supervision of Munster Rugby coaching staff.
It was a fantastic opportunity for the boys to experience the game of rugby on the High School's state of the art 4G rugby pitch.
The morning was a resounding success and a special word of thanks is extended to Munster Rugby’s Joe Sheehan for organising the event.
