Division 1B

Carrick 2 St. Otterans 3

We started brightly and hit a post through Stephen Roche. Sloppiness at the back lost us 2 goals before the break. At half time we felt there was still a result possible as we had plenty of the game. Carrick got a goal back through a Dale Grace penalty midway through the half but yet again we lost possession and paid the price with a well taken goal for Otterans. We forced more pressure on the away side before Damien McCarthy’s brave goal came at the final whistle. We need to knuckle down and keep our belief for the coming weeks.

Under 15A Bohs 1 Carrick 6
We travelled to Bohs for our second game of the season. We started the game very brightly, with some crisp passing and hard work. the first goal came from Luke Kiely who ran onto a through ball to finish neatly into the corner. We were getting on top all over the pitch especially James Whelan and Billy Power who were great through out. Our second goal came from Luke again with a good finish from a tight angle. Luke got his hat trick, his second in three games, just before halftime. We started the second as we finished the first with a goal from Dean Walsh. Dean got his second and goal of the match, with brilliant play from Billy, who played into Dean who lobbed the keeper from 20 yards. Dean got his hat trick with a clever finish. Everyone played their part in a really good display. We ended up with four Under 14A’s playing their part so a big thank you to them

Congratulations to Sean Clancy on last weekend’s hurling victory
