On Sunday last our Intermediate footballers played their second championship match of the year when they took on Clonmel Commercials. This was a close game with Swan finally edging it by five points.
Our under-16s had a busy week where we welcomed both Clonmel Commercials and Moyle Rovers to The Green. On Wednesday our under-16s played Commercials in a full blooded game that ended in a draw. Other results in the group during the week meant our game last Sunday against Moyle Rovers was a must-win game to advance to the semi-finals of the competition. Our lads obliged and won by six points. Games are now finished until after the state exams and the semi-final of this competition has been provisionally fixed for June 22 in Kilsheelan where we meet Clonmel Commercials.
Well done to the under 16 camogie girls who faced New Inn in their final match of their championship on Thursday of last week. We unfortunately lost out by just two scores. The girls showed great skill and determination but unfortunately it wasn’t our night.
