The South Tipperary Hospice are hosting the next Vintage Tea Morning at the Place4U Cafe, Morton Street on Friday June 26 from 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Please join us for a wonderful vintage tea complete with all the trimmings. Minimum donation €5. The last vintage tea morning on Friday July 12 was in aid of Cancer Care and a grand total of €913 was raised. Many thanks to everyone who helped make this such a success.


RehabCare Knocklofty are holding their open day at Knocklofty Rural Resource Centre, Kilnamack West, Kilmanahan, Clonmel, on Thursday August 1 from 11am to 1.30pm.

A raffle will take place at 1pm on the day.


The South Tipperary Cycling Club is going from strength to strength.

Fr Colm’s Memorial Cycle will take place this year on Saturday August 10.

Route one of the cycle will start at St. Peter & Paul’s Church Clonmel at 11am, and go directly to Tramore. People have the option of cycling directly from Clonmel to Tramore or taking the second Route option at 13.00 from St. Paul’s, Lisduggan, Waterford to Tramore.

From Saturday July 27 - August 3 the NCBI shop in Clonmel will be selling their large range of shoes at €3 a pair.


The St Vincent de Paul furniture warehouse will open this Friday July 26 from 10am to 1pm. There will be super offers on bedroom furniture, and chairs from €5. Please support your local charities. This furniture warehouise opens every second Friday. Next opening August 9.

Tipperary’s first Alzheimer Cafe is now open at the Community Resource Centre, Kickham Street, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

The Alzheimer Café is a safe and relaxed place where people with dementia, their families and health and social care professionals come together for a unique blend of education and support. It is a place where people can share experiences and talk about dementia. Anyone who is affected by dementia is welcome to come to an Alzheimer Cafe. The Alzheimer Café facilitates support, information and education.

SUICIDE support

A support group for anyone over 18 bereaved by suicide meets in: Clonmel Community resource Centre, Kickham Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

The International Dundrum Dexter Gathering will take place in August in Killenure Castle, Dundrum, offering people an afternoon of live music, cooking demonstrations of Dexter meat and guided tours of the grounds, with a delicious lunch featuring Killenure Dexter Beef on August 22.

It’s that time of year again and we are commencing our annual summer clean up campaign. The judging for the National Tidy Towns Competition will take place on unspecified dates during July and August.

We meet every Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm at Mary Street Car Park and finished up by 8.30pm. We collect litter, tidy and plant flower beds and do some painting to derelict buildings etc. New volunteers would be very welcome to come along and join us. Follow us on Facebook.


The Clonmel Men’s Shed is up and running and currently open on Monday evening from 7pm, Wednesday morning from 9.30am and Thursday evening from 7pm.

The Shed is located in Bridgewater House in Clonmel and new members are welcome to come along at any stage for a chat, cup of tea and to find out more about the initiative and what projects will be embarked upon in the future. Don’t miss your chance to be part of something special in Clonmel.

The Glenbawn looped walk (no 69) is also known as the Marlfield Forest Walk and the Rock.

Work is presently underway on repairing the roadside walls and when completed the Two Bridges Partnership will enhance the top walk which will be suitable for all ages and abilities.

We are looking for a volunteer who can calculate the calories which are burned when walking the different routes. We intend to mark the different routes with the calorie burn count as a guide to fitness and help in the transformation process. A newly formed Autism Support Group has formed this year in Tipperary Town.

Rainbows provides peer support and a listening service for primary school aged children who are suffering as a result of a death or loss through separation in their family.
