The younger music mad audience will be catered for this year, for the first time in the history of the hugely popular music festival, Bellybang.
The festival which provides a platform for some of Ireland’s best upcoming bands, returns for its third year from August 23-24, with all proceeds going towards the local St Vincent de Paul.
As usual The Piper Inn is the venue for this event, with more than 30 acts lined up, and some amazing original artwork featuring also. And for the younger audience, they will share the fun at a special, third stage that will be set up at Place 2 Bee. Bands such as Superblondes, Featuring X and She’s a Beauty among more unsigned bands will be playing at this event.
“Other bands playing on the weekend include Crow Black Chicken who will have just returned from a two week tour of Texas with the legendary Ray Wylie Hubbard; Radioactive Grandma winners of the MRU best album 2012 award will be back, and favourites from last year such as Fox E and Zhora return along with many more new acts,†said Stephen McGrath, Bellybang organiser.
