Friday night’s winner Clara O'Brien (Ed Sheeran) who sang ‘Photograph’ and Saturday night’s winner Derek O'Mahoney (Elvis) who performed ‘Suspicious Minds’.
Over 600 people turned out for Ardfinnan GAA Club’s Stars in their Eyes sensational showcase recently.
“It was so entertaining from start to finish. We will never look at some people in the same light again,” laughed a Ardfinnan GAA Club spokesperson.
“What talent the beautiful little parish of Ardfinnan has to offer. All at Ardfinnan GAA would like to say a massive well done to and thank you to everyone, especially MC for both nights Paul Marsh who kept the show on the road with his professionalism, wit and humour.
"Thank you to the Friday night’s judges Michael Babs Keating, Samantha Lambert and Thomas ‘Fluffy’ O'Mahoney, and Saturday night’s judges Claire McNamara, Thomas ‘The Bear’ O'Mahoney and Brendan Cummins – thank you all for the fantastic comments and the entertaining one liners,” a Ardfinnan GAA Club spokesperson continued.
Ardfinnan GAA Club would also like to thank the crew at Premier Sound and Music; David Walsh and the staff of Cahir House Hotel; choreographer Eleanor Brannigan; dancers Ana Li and Sinead for working with Sarah Mcloughlin and Tina Turner; the ‘Here come the Girls’ group; Burke’s and Flynn’s shops for selling the tickets; Joanne and Shannon O'Mahoney and Jenna Kennedy for taking care of hair and make-up; club members for their help on both nights selling and collecting tickets, selling and counting votes, and for their help on the floor keeping the show flowing; videographer Willie for creating the videos and capturing the entire event; photographer Stephen; producer Diarmaid Boyle; and all those who supported the event over the two nights.
