Our U/8s, 10s and 12s have been very active recently, playing plenty of matches and enjoying themselves as they should at that age. Our U/8 hurlers were in action on Saturday last in the Blitz playing Cahir, Ballybacon/ Grange and Clerihan. It is brilliant to see these kids giving their all in a game of hurling, totally oblivious to any scoreline, and credit to the coaches for preparing the lads so well. For the record we lost to Cahir but had narrow wins over Ballybacon/ Grange and Clerihan.
Our U/10 footballers took part in the annual Bórd na nÓg tournament recently. All our games were keenly contested and congratulations to Grangemockler who finished on top. We started with a win against Fethard, lost narrowly to Grangemockler, drew with Ballyporeen, just got the better of Ballingarry and lost our last game against Kilsheelan by a point in a thriller. Our B team found themselves in a very hot group but gave of their all recording one win against Moyle Rovers but finding eventual winners St Pat’s, Newcastle and Fr Sheehy’s a bit too strong for them.
Squad- Craig Ng, Tony O’Reilly, Conor Anderson, Gordon Rossiter, Cathal McGuigan, Daniel Krastins, Dean Pyke, Ralph Farrell, Rhys O’Regan, Jack Houlihan, Aaron Bradley, Ben Kearns, Jamie Doyle, Thomas Hickey, Sean Fitzpatrick, Nathan Harvey, Adam Lonergan, Conal Ryan, Fabian Kerton, Jack Moore, Simon Smith, Ben Smith, Graham Molloy, Jamie Fitzgerald, Christopher Downes, Jack Dillon, Joseph Roche, Dylan O’ Donnell
The U/12 hurlers got their Premier Games campaign off to a winning start with an away win in Clogheen against Fr Sheehy’s. Our games v Carrick Davins on Friday was called off.
We played Fr Sheehy’s in the County U/16 C semi- final on Thursday last and despite a huge effort we were defeated by five points.
Under 21 Hurling
For 50 minutes on Saturday last we were in control of the game against Kilsheelan but in the last ten minutes we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with some horrendous defending. We now face a game in the losers group and if we do not improve considerably then our season will end.

We are drawn to play Kilsheelan in the first round of the County.
