St Mary’s Hurling Club
St Mary’ s are drawing up a five year plan for the club and to this end are holding an open forum in the Clonmel Park Hotel on Wednesday night March 27 at 8.00 pm.
The meeting is open to the public, young and old, to players and non players, to club members and members of the public. Basically we want those people who want to see hurling grow in Clonmel to come along and give their views. There will be an outside facilitator there on the night and views will be sought on coaching, games, administration of the club, finance, the use of social media as tools of communication and the social life of the club. Any queries to Noel Buckley at 087 8537266.
Our intermediates play Lattin- Cullen in the County league next Saturday at 4.00pm in Lattin.
Our 6 , 8 and 10’s commenced outdoor training last Saturday. After a cold, foggy start all the boys enjoyed
the bright spring sunshine making good use of the wide open spaces.

Under 8: 10am -- 11.30am
Under 10: 10am -- 11.30am

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Approximately 50 juvenile members marched under the St Mary’s banners in the St Patricks Day parade through Clonmel. The boys wore their colours with pride and received great applause from the crowds that lined the route. Well done to all who turned out in the colours on such a cold day. Some photos can be seen on St Mary’s Facebook page.
Monster Table Quiz
St Mary’s would like to thank all those who supported the quiz last Friday night. An enjoyable night was had by all and a huge thank you to John Carew who coordinated it. David O’Donnell’s team emerged winners beating Paddy Daly’s team by just one point. They now go on to the County Final.
All players and members are reminded they must pay €20 membership by the end of March. Alternatively, Family Membership costs €35. Fees can be paid to John Carew, Noel Buckley or any committee member.
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family of the late Sean Doyle, Bianconi Drive. Sean passed away last weekend and was renowned for his association with Clonmel Handball club. May he Rest In Peace.
Frank Says Thanks
Frank Maher would like to thank the many players and St Mary’s members who have visited, phoned or sent well wishes to him during his illness. He would like people to know he really appreciates people’s kindness and it means a lot to him.
