The sun shone in Poulmucka last Friday evening for the annual running of the Poulmucka 8km and 5km road races.
The committee were delighted to see almost 280 athletes take part on the night.
The 5km has proved to be very popular as it is a relaxed race where you predict your time and because of the large entry they have increased the prizes from 10 to 15. It’s a pity that we cannot produce the results of the 5km on the night but appreciate that it does take time to work out the winners and losers.
With races popping up all over the place nowadays the committee are delighted with the turnout and results can be found on the Clonmel AC notes and web page.
Well done to all who took part and to the ladies committee and stewards and those who turned up on the night.
The John Quirke Merit award went to Angela McCann this year and was a very popular announcement. Angela follows in the steps of Edith Smith, Catherina McKiernan and Niall O’Sullivan.
Congratulations also to Davy Ryan and Martina O’Dwyer on taking the honours in their categories on the day.
