Tipperary scored a narrow win over Cork at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday to reach the Munster Senior Hurling Final.

Cork led by 0-14 to 0-12 at the end of a closely contested first half but Tipp gained the initiative with a splendidly-worked goal, scored by Noel McGrath, 10 minutes into the second half.

However they suffered a blow when John O’Brien was sent off shortly afterwards and they had to play the final 23 minutes with just 14 men.

In spite of their numerical disadvantage Tipp did enough to hold on and book a final date with Waterford at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on July 15.
