Joe B. Ryan is Golfer of the Year at Tipperary

Our AGM on Thursday night last saw outgoing Captain, Joe Considine, hand over the reins of office to Tim Walsh.

John J M O’Dwyer assumed the office of Vice-Captain and Michael O’Donoghue graciously accepted the role of President.

Before the main business of the meeting got under way James Ryan was presented with the Golfer of the Year trophy by sponsor, Joe B. Ryan.

Pat Murray, winner of the South of Ireland 2012, was then welcomed to the meeting and congratulated on his marvellous win by the outgoing captain who made a presentation to Pat.

It must be unique for a relatively small country club to be able to boast having among its members the winners of all 5 major GUI championships.

T.F. Ryan - South of Ireland 1936;

Arthur Pierse - West of Ireland 1980 and 1982; East of Ireland 1979; North of Ireland 1987;
